Flui Pet Nat, Lisboa, 2022
Vital, Arinto

Certainly a favourite on the night.

Salty, lively, herbal, fresh.

A sparkling that is great to get the party started, to have with seafood, or to refresh after a hearty meal.

$50

João Tavares de Pina (JTP) Rufia Branco 2022
Encruzado, Cerceal, Bical, Malvasia Fina

The godfather of organic viticulture in Dão. The wines are fresh, fun but food-friendly and complex.

A classic Dão white blend whose freshness belies its herbal and phenolic qualities.

Slight spritz, herbal, mineral, fresh.

$39

Tiago Teles Riaz (Vinho Verde), 2022
Louriero

Tiago Teles is a wine journo turned winemaker extraordinaire. He makes wines from two locations, honouring the regions that his mum and dad were originally from.

A super salty, crushed oyster shell orange wine with some very ripe citrus notes and a touch of spice.

This was the wine used in the masterclass.

$50

Quinta da Serradinha Rose 2023
Touriga Nacional, Castelao

From the oldest organic estate in Portugal (certified in 1977!).

A lady bird sits atop each cork as when Antonio’s father was first converting to organics and wondering if he was doing the right thing, a lady bird landed on a bottle of wine he was opening and showed him it was the correct path.

Deep coloured and full flavoured but dry rose. Herbal, mineral, fresh.

$50

João Tavares de Pina (JTP) Clarete 2022
Rufete, Touriga Nacional

The godfather of organic viticulture in Dão. The wines are fresh, fun but food-friendly and complex.

A classic noveau style wine, meant to be drunk slightly chilled.

Fresh, mineral and a hint of spice. Gluggable but not basic.

$39

Dominó Foxtrot (Portalegre), 2023
Classic Palhete Field Blend of Red and Whites. 13 Varieties.

Dominó’s gateway drug to the world of Palhete. A super traditional field blend of 80-year-old vines of various Muscats, Reds and Whites.

Granite and clay soils.

A super complex yet approachable wine. Aromatic from the muscats but got some serious stemmy and savoury character too.

$48

COZs Pop Red (Serra de Montejunto), 2022
Castelao

A collab between Tiago Teles and Antonio from Quinta da Serradinha.

A red wine from pure limestone soils that feels like Pinot and Syrah had a baby.

Aromatic and perfumed with a beautiful black pepper character.

A wine for steak if you, like me, don’t like heavy red wines.

$50

Quinta do Infantado, Ruby Reserva Port, NV

100% Organically grown Port from the home of Port.

Much drier and more moorish than any other port I have tried but still has all the power and deliciousness you want from Port.

$70

Barbeito, Rainwater, NV

A Madeira like no other. Barbeito don’t add caramel for colour and don’t muck around trying to make things taste older than they are.

A fresh, electric, mineral driven fortified wine that is equally good as an aperitif (by itself or with tonic) or with cheese.

Medium dryness tempered by electric acidity.
